Anyone heard if the new Stephanie book is going to be available on Kindle? I mean, it's not even out at a price I wouldn't pay yet. Does anyone
remember how long it was between the HB release of Plum Spooky and the Kindle release?
I NEED my Ranger fix!!

Ah, I love Ranger too. I have missed the last two Plum books, I'm just...sort of sick of the formula. I want her to pick one of them! This is one of those
series where the character doesn't seem to age or change.
 I know! I'm easily bored. I'll catch up soon. Let's see. Fourteen is 7.99 and
fifteen seems to be 15.99. So I think you may have to wait?
Ah, I remember when I read the second one, I laughed to hard I had to put it down.

According the evanovich.com, Finger Lickin' 15 should be available in ereader format on July 7. Woo hoo!

Yeah, she's been thirty years old for like ten years now. Also, you'd think she would have gotten a little bit better at her job after all she's
been through.
 I would have at least taken a self-defense class by
now! And she really should pick one of them, that would give the series some new life.

Finally, Finger Lickin' Fifteen is available for pre-order. It should be out tomorrow. But it's listed for pre-order at $15 something. Since the book
has been out a month, shouldn't it really be coming out at $9.99? Or do I totally misunderstand the pricing thing?

Unless it's on the NYTs best seller list they can charge what they want. I'm beginning to see a pattern of stuff coming out and them delaying it on
the Kindle until it goes off the list then charging $14+ for it, which IMHO sucks. I'm seeing lots more Kindle books for $14+ then I used to see. They at
least are still cheaper then then hardcover version.

True. In a month, however, FL15 should have made it on to the NYT list, especially since we only get one Stephanie book per year. So maybe that is it. There
was something weird about the release of Plum Spooky too, but I can't remember off the top of my head what it was.
But you have a valid point: maybe one way to get around everyone (except the readers) bitching about the $9.99 is to just hold it until it drops back off. Hmmmm.

Well, you missed Grandma Mazur going goth, and all of her friends dropping bridge for Minionfire. But other than that, you haven't missed much else.
***DANGER WILL ROBINSON!! SPOILER ALERT!!*** I'm such a hypocrite. I've sworn off LkH's books b/c the constant weird orgies were creeping me out while not advancing the plot. I'm thinking of dropping Stephanie b/c there's no sort of anything even approaching an orgy. I think she needs to make up her mind. I realize this makes me psychotic, but I'm still not apologizing.

LOL! Well, I don't think you're a hypocrite. I too like a middle ground between no sex at all and crazy Wereanimal-orgies. I think that middle ground
is well depicted in the DH novels by Kenyon. It's not in the gross-out LKH territory.

Holy crap, they look exactly alike!! I sure couldn't tell which was which.
 Are you sure Hamilton isn't just another pen name (or vice versa?) Then again, their writing styles are pretty different.

wow they really do look a lot alike. Went to a LKH signing this summer...(most recent book had its improvements)...most of the people there were in support of
the sex driven plot. I didn't dare oppose verbally, just sighed along.
Still working between Plum Spooky and Finger Linkin' Fifteen. I'm at the point...maybe its time to pick one of the two. |
